City, Date - LG Electronics (LG), a global leader and technology innovator in mobile communications, announced today that a new Chocolate phone will soon be released. From the design team that created the original Chocolate, the new Chocolate phone will showcase the newest form of highly distinctive design characteristics created for optimized feature performance. It will break away from the conventional mobile screen ratio to maximize usability yet inherit the minimalist-inspired style and iconic design of its predecessor.
"We're returning to an all-time favorite," said Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. "Over 20 million Chocolate handsets were sold across 54 countries to date and we aim to continue this phenomenal success on to the next model. We believe the new handset will make a strong presence in the market, extending the growth that LG experienced during the first half of 2009."

LG's new Chocolate phone is the fourth handset of the LG Black Label Series. The forerunner of the much touted sequence was the original LG Chocolate which debuted globally in May 2006 and went on to become the company's bestselling phone. In the same year, the handset was internationally recognized for its design innovation by winning the prestigious Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award. Other Black Label Series handsets include LG Shine, known for its revolutionary full metal body and LG Secret, an elegant handset backed by carbon fibre and tempered glass inspire to timeless style.
